This is only a partial response.
There are a number of potential problems in your code, but the main
one seems to be the address format.
If I change:
var request = {
origin: "E1 1JY, LONDON",
destination: "E1 6AD,LONDON",
to:
var request = {
origin: "ORD",
destination: "JFK",
and remove the waypoints, then it works.
It is still unclear to me why it returns status OK if the request had
failed.
I'll dig some more into this when I find the time.
