Thanks, Thor, this is coming together for me. The documentation reference was just what I needed.
I guess the steps will be: 1) geocode an address 2) Do a client login to get an Auth code. 3) Create a new map - Auth code will be needed 4) Populate the new map with the long/lat from the geocode and place other notes on the map as needed - Auth code required again I have two questions about the login process: 1) What service type should be used when creating a new map and then uploading data to it? (e.g. The documentation says service=cl applies to the Calendar API) 2) ClientLogin echos the Auth code to the screen, but I don't understand how to write it to a variable in the app. Thanks for your help - you're a life-saver! - Ron On May 25, 10:45 pm, "Thor (Google Employee)" <[email protected]> wrote: > There is no batch method for geocoding, but the quota for web service > requests is 2,500 per day per IP address, so that should not be a > problem.
