Hi I'll be honest in saying have little knowledge of javascript, however, I have got the map working as per my requirements, other than an issue with display in a javascript tab generated using tabpane.js.
If you look at (the speed isn't fantastic because this is a development box): http://dev.sheldonbosley.co.uk/index.php?pclass[]=6&beds=1&price-min=&price-max=&action=searchresults you will see the issue when you click on the 'large map'. If you then refresh (whilst on the large map - the tab state should be persistent) you will see that it renders correctly. I have tried to implement 'google.maps.event.trigger(map, 'resize')' but with no success.
