Thanks Petru! Hmm......I am in Turkey right now visiting my son........could that be the issue?
I know that the Turkish government is blocking/slowing ip's associated with youTube and I had read somewhere that Google had moved the maps to the same ip. In my browser it shows waiting on mt1.google.com and mt0.google.com.
