Hi,
I'm new to this forum and I sent a message but I can't find it in the
message list. So - I'll make another attempt.
I am working on a project to show recoveries of banded birds from
Sweden on Google Maps. I started out with API v2 and it was working
quite well. However, guided by Ben's & Pamela's "Using PHP/MySql with
Google maps" I have now transferred to API v3. Still, the XML-file is
generated as it should, containing all tags and selected data. It
shows up in Firefox aswell as in IE.
The problem is there are NO ICONS ON THE MAP. I get an alert in IE
saying: 'documentElement is null or not an object'. When I click away
the alert, the map appears but still without any icons. I have spent
hours and hours to find the error. I have read through forums and
tested ideas suggested there, but still no icons on the map. I have
tried different web browsers, but no icons showed up, neither in
Firefox nor in IE. I have even tried other computers but... no icons.
I don't understand this, since I can't find the error. Even less do I
understand why the API v2 version shows the same error message...???
A (static) example of the xml-file is at:

And the map file is at:

For those about to help - I salute you!
Lennart K
