I think I see my problem.. I'm missing some kind of binding. "Binding two properties between two MVCObjects allows changes to one object to be replicated in the object other... Binding ensures that values are kept in sync, but you need to be notified that the values have changed to be able to act on it. The MVCObject provides two notification mechanisms: the changed method and changed events."
