I'm developing a website using Google Maps to present hiking trails. All trail data are stored in a MS SQL Server database.
What is best practice for developing Google Maps web applications in MS Visual Studio Enviroment? Currently I'm using a .Net control (http://www.reimers.dk) that allowing me to use code behind to access data in the database. The control has some downsides so I would like to stop using it. What is the common way to develop a web site using Google Maps API?
