Be carefull and do not use this solution together with a dropdown menu, because the behaviour is just as I thought.
So I found a new bug: http://www.wolfpil.de/v3/control-position-bug-with-dropdown-menu.html Open the dropdown menu and let it open while you zoom in or out. You'll notice that the link above the Terms will move down. Then after the dropdown menu will be closed the link will jump back to it's original position after zooming. In the example above the link above the Terms has a fixed marginTop of 260px. But that doesn't matter. If the marginTop would be some percentage values the buggy behaviour remains the same. Sorry, but thats just another example of the "intelligent flowing" of the control positions. I already criticized that in my first v3 bug report. Don't get me wrong: The "intelligent flowing" is an excellent idea. But it should be possible to turn it off when it's not needed. Otherwise it might be a pure restriction. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps JavaScript API v3" group.
