I added a new map to the site: 
http://www.fashiontraveler.com/los_angeles-shopping-guide.php
and made some tests:

Win XP Pro/SP 3 running on Parallels virtual machine hosted by MacOS X
10.5.8 - IE8.0.6001.18702
It only fails if you clear the cache

Win 7 - IE8 8.0.7600.16385
The error appears persistently and you need to reload the page to get
the polygons drew

Your point makes sense so, I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for your
help
