This has been reported before. http://groups.google.com/group/google-maps-js-api-v3/browse_frm/thread/cbb9cb6ba7b89f4b/16e3cfce5ecf163b?lnk=gst&q=IE6+markers#16e3cfce5ecf163b IE6 is not officially supported in v3 of the API... You can look at the issue tracker and see if there is an issue. Perhaps if there is enough interest it _might_ get fixed (but I wouldn't hold your breath).
