I apologize if this is not the correct group for this question, and I realize I will not be receiving legal advice.
I read the Google Maps API TOS here: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/terms.html Our client maintains a directory of farms. They would like to display a Google Map on their web site with pins showing the locations of the farms. The general public would be able to click on the pin for the location of the farm, and the popup would display the farm's city and state. Here's where it gets dicey... only members who have registered and paid are allowed to view the farm names. They want to show the map with pins to everyone, but the pin popups for specific farms would only display the city and state to non-paid /anonymous users. Then users who have paid for their yearly membership & have logged in would see the farm name and a link to the farm profile in the pin popups, in addition to the city and state. Would this kind of customization require the Google Maps API Premier account, as defined here: http://www.google.com/enterprise/earthmaps/maps.html? Related question... if we decided to just show pins for farm cities and states, and forget about displaying farms names to logged in users... what if there are 6 farms in one city; is there some way to distinguish multiple pins with the same latitude & longitude? Thanks so much. Again, I'm sorry if this question is in the wrong place. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps JavaScript API v3" group.
