I looked at this before, and the only thing I can see is how to add an overlay image, but I don't have images, I have text that is created dynamically, that needs to be distributed at specific coordinates on a map, always in a screen related fontsize irrespective of the zoom level of the map, but at the correct coordinates. Perhaps I 'm missing something but I simply don't understand how to change the sample code to use text instead of images.
So far I've not seen a single example that writes text on a map (other than in a bubble), so my guess is that it is not possible....
