Is there a quick way to get the window coordinates from the Google Javascript API rather than to re-develop custom code for the Overlay just to get the projection object which has the fromLatLngToDivPixel method? I mean, in version 2 of the API, the fromLatLngToDivPixel method is exposed directly at the map object level. Now with the new version of the API, all hell breaks loose with javascript and jQuery to get a couple of numbers for a set of coordinate as opposed to one line of code. Man, I thought the new API is supposed to ease some development effort and to reduce some code, not to increase the effort 10 folds. (Sorry, I've been looking at code too much on a Friday, so I'm a bit grumpy).
