Thanks, this looks like an over-zealous type check that has been tripped by
internal code.  We'll fix this for the next push; meanwhile if this is
causing an issue for your site try loading v=3.1 or v=3.0 as described here:
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/basics.html#Versioning
