A Google Planimeter was introduced on the web by Acme Laboratories 5
years ago.

I have extracted the code and placed an example for v3 here

This should compute polygon areas like v2's getArea(). I do not
understand the
maths, so I can't garantee its correctness. But as you can see, not
much code is needed,
especially if the area is less than 1000 square kilometers.
