The "idle" event occurs too often. It impedes dragging & panning but not zooming. For CANVAS OverlayViews, it is not a big deal. For SVG OverlayViews, it is.
I would like to know the beginning & the end of "in plane" movements. I would like to discard tiles at the beginning of the movement & to rebuild tiles at the end of the movement. Perhaps I could switch between SVG & CANVAS during the movement. Obviously, It is impractical to interact with the polys during the movement. With the event listeners available, can it be done ? Can simple "movebegin" / "moveend" event listeners be added ? Do I have to cobble together an ugly hack using timer interrupts ? Different CPU speeds will cause undesireable side effects. Slow CPUs will rebuild too often. Fast CPUs will wait too long to rebuild. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps JavaScript API v3" group.
