Hi, I'm the founder of 360cities. we are using krpano, which has flash and js/css3 versions. the js/css version (for ipad/iphone/html5friendly browers) is just awesome. try this in safari or chrome http://krpano.com/tours/weingut/html5only.html smoother than flash (on my old white macbook anyway)! neato :-)
I can't answer your question about why your pano doesn't work nicely, I can only tell you why ours work well.
