It looks like Marker object ignores shape property. Setting shape has no effect altogether. I'm sure it worked before.
Take a look at official google example showing marker shapes at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/icon-complex.html. The beach flags should be clickable but the marker ignores the shape setting and therefore clickable area is incorrect.
