Thanks for the idea, Rossko. I just tried it and yes the tooltip title thing works if I leave clickable true but don't have a listener.
However, the hand pointer still shows over the marker, as if it was expecting it to be clickable. In this case I would want the cursor to change to the normal arrow, but I can't get that working either.
