There is a "terms of service" for Google Maps/Earth located at: http://maps.google.com/intl/en/help/terms_maps.html
As I understand it, this is for use of http://maps.google.com, this is where I actually will be getting the "generated iframe code snippet", using the pregenerated code supplied in google maps application. However using this snippet in my application doesn't require me applying for a Maps API key, and as such I would have thought the EULA for the Maps API doesn't apply for this code snippet. Any clarification on this issues would be most appreciated.
