Regarding my last issue, I tried with the sample site you have in: http://gmaps-samples-v3.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/layers/layers.html
which accepts a HTTP link to a KML file, and it also has the same problem, if you load the file from ther, the first time it loads fine. If you change or regenerate the KML while the web page is still opened, and then you go to the link and hit RETURN over the same link without making a page reload, then it loads the first KML file loaded, not the actual or current one...!
