If this duplicates I apologize, I posted a reply earlier that didn't show. Try this : http://www.google.com/support/fusiontables/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=171220 It says that you can create a view showing only the data that you want to expose, and then make that public or unlisted. That becomes a virtual table, and avoids the need to allow access to the original table. Hope it helps.
