I have seen this emulator for example, http://iphonetester.com/ but I guess it does not take into considderation the graphic rendering performance of the phone, only the webb design so to say.. I have tried the Mozilla firefox ver 4.0 and its a huge performance improvement compared to IE7 as firefox 4--> use the GPU to render graphics, and it seems next generation browsers will have this great feature, if you have a descent graphics caard in the computer one can render thousands of markers swiftly. This map has about 1800... Also: Is there an api or javascript function one can use to zoom to the phones GPS position?
