I'm a Desktop Technician trying to assist one of my employees. He uses Google maps directly from Google, and found yesterday that it is no longer functioning. He's using a XP SP3 Machine and Internet Explorer 7.
Upon visiting maps.google.com neither the images or controls load. The continent level map tiles are replaced with "We're sorry, Google Maps does not have images for this level of zoom" and the control tabs just have the placemarkers. You can click the layers control and change layers; this successfully worked to bring up satellite images and worked to call up several city and street level maps. The controls never do fully load however. This oddly enough affects non-admin accounts in the Power users groups, but not local admin accounts. There are no domain constraints on web access; we use a proxy server which fully allows all google sites. It only began yesterday, and I suspect it's related to the patch as no changes occurred on his machine otherwise. It is only affecting the one machine; we've got 100 users and no one else has reported the issue. Attempting to resolve the issue, I've thus far attempted the following: Reset all IE7 settings Added the site to trusted sites, modified trusted site settings to allow all scripting Verified site is not blocked via our antivirus firewall or proxy server Verified IE had no missing security updates. Any advice or suggestions to resolve the issue would be appreciated. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps JavaScript API v3" group.
