Take a look at the Google Maps/Google Earth APIs Terms of 
Service<http://code.google.com/apis/maps/terms.html>, 
especially part 9. and 10..

As long as your implementation does not comply with these terms, you can use 
it for free! However, if you want to do something that is restricted in 
these terms (e.g. usage in an internal network), you'll need a Google Maps 
API Premier license (about 10000$/year).
