Sorry about the last post. Apparently something I typed sent an incomplete message. Yes. CANVAS has no zIndex because all markers in the same tile are rendered cumulatively. Event listeners have to examine candidates in LIFO order. If just one target is recognized, it ought to be the last one rendered.
