Hello, I'm trying to have the markers on my map have persistent titles that show all the time like in Google Earth. Basically I want the title tool-tip to displayed without having to mouse over. The API doesn't seem to support it but would anyone have a suggestion on how to implement this? keeping an overlay with the marker that contains the text seems like an implementation nightmare..
Currently, I'm thinking of generating custom marker icons on the fly on the server with GD, and building the text into the icon. But it's also a fair bit of work. Thoughts?
