I am about to start a new project that will display KML files containing polygons and I would like to implement a rightclick context menu that will include choices such as: directions to/from, zoom and center.
But after reading a few threads it is my understanding that: 1. A rightclick on a KML polygon will not make it to the map layer (where I could listen for it) 2. KML layers cannot handle rightclicks In short, it appears that a perfectly good rightclick on a KML layer cannot presently serve any useful purpose. Or am I missing something? You can compare rightclicks inside/outside the KML polygon shown on the following map: http://www.mappingsupport.com/p/gmap4.php?q=mymap,210348488296625589867.000450ae1d028a9db23ad&ll=34.203561,-84.687224&t=s&z=18&label=no&coord=latlng Also, I just tested POGM (Plain Old Google Maps). A rightclick inside a KML polygon displays the standard context menu just fine. Yes, I realize the POGM code is not the same as v3. If anyone can shed light or point me toward a feature request I can star, that would be great. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps JavaScript API v3" group.
