Because I'm a moron? I hacked this together quick, fast and dirty for a client. I had no prior experience with Google Maps and kinda nosed my way along with the tutorials and examples. I had meant to go back and clean it up, but you know how it is.
Anyway, yes...that was the problem. I deleted the link to the sample CSS and set the DIV width explicitly and now it all works. Thanks for the pointer.
