Thanks rossko. I tried adding parseFloat. This had no affect on the green markers.
Here are two screenshots to compare green markers on load. Once the markers are green, zooming or changing the map will cause them to update to the correct color. Seems like the neon green markers only show on the first load. http://imgur.com/a/VCEv2 I am now realizing this is not a google maps api issue, but probably a bug with the Google maps utility library I am using for StyledMarkers http://code.google.com/p/google-maps-utility-library-v3/wiki/Libraries Guess I'll try the issue que..
