Hi Chris, thanks for the answer. Hopefully Google will develop a way/interface to create 3D markers for streetview. This would allow us to create some kind of really exciting (pseudo-)AR stuff. Maybe this is already possible by overlaying a WebGL view on a streetview panorama and synchronizing both by requesting POV data from steetview pano. Does anybody have tried this so far?
