Okay, Google maps API server is still not updated. We have voted for some feature changes using mapmaker community edits and these changes have reflected on the maps.google.com homepage. Please look at this map : http://maps.google.com/?q=vanxim+goa
You may zoom in there and notice the feature named "Vegetation at vanxim". Now, here is the map rendered by mapsAPI http://maps.google.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=vanxim+goa&zoom=16&size=512x512&maptype=roadmap&markers=color:blue|label:S|40.702147,-74.015794&markers=color:green|label:G|40.711614,-74.012318&markers=color:red|color:red|label:C|40.718217,-73.998284&sensor=false Here the same feature has the old name "Mangroves at vanxim". We need this changed on the apiServer as soon as possible, I have already voted for another community edit but who is accountable to approve these changes? These changes need to reflect on the mapsApi image aswell.
