Hi, I've posted a topic on this already, but it hasn't come up. I've tried searching for it, and I can find it, but it says Google then can't find the post when I click on it. Seeing as it also hasn't come up on the main group topic list, and I need to edit it, I've posted this (apologies if it's repeated). I'm trying to add a Google map to a page along with a link above it. When you click the link, it should center the map on a specific point (where I've placed a marker). I can't figure out how to do this, I've tried a few ways, but they're all doing lots of other clever things like adding directions, extra markers or geocodes, so I'm not qute sure which part to take out, and my JavaScript experience and knowledge isn't huge. At the moment I'm getting a 'map is null or not an object' despite it having been created and seemingly working fine. I've had several variances of this, usually in referencing the map, so maybe that's the issue. All the examples I've seen though, reference the map with no problem, in much the same way I've done. Another thing to mention is the code is in the body, as messing with the head is something I'd really rather not do. We use templates to set pages up automatically, so putting some code in the head of every page for the purposes of 1 page is not something I want to be doing if at all possible. I originally posted some code on this, but I've read the 'Do not post code' rule and the reasons, so I'm reluctantly posting this link: http://www.tameside.gov.uk/admin/preview?rid=26897&v=draft which will hopefully give an understadning of what I'm trying to do.
