I am using jquery gmap3 plugin to do address autocomplete. I've found one anomaly.
In the 2 following queries, the first includes the street number, route (street), and sublocality while the second also includes the administrative_area_level_1 (state). Both queries return a complete street address, but the first query response does not include the locality (city), while the second does. This is for an address in New York, where boroughs and neighborhoods can be significant. 1st query: https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js/GeocodeService.Search?4s104%20dupont%20street&7sUS&9sen-US&callback=_xdc_._di2sus&token=8456 2nd query: https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js/GeocodeService.Search?4s104%20Dupont%20St%2C%20Brooklyn%2C%20NY&7sUS&9sen-US&callback=_xdc_._dk4t7d&token=120964 My fallback is to use the sublocality when locality is not present, which is okay, but can result in inconsistencies, so it's not ideal. I'm curious if this is a bug, something unique to New York, or if I'm just missing something. Any insight is appreciated. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps JavaScript API v3" group.
