Hi Bezo, I spotted out this issue a while ago and so far haven't found any solution. I am on FF 4 (Mac) too. My guess it could be something related to the following error:
Image corrupt or truncated: http://mt0.googleapis.com/vt?lyrs=m@158&src=apiv3&hl=en-US&x=508&y=341&z=10&apistyle=s.t%3A33%7Cs.e%3Al%7Cp.v%3Aoff&s=G which usually occurs in the FireBug when zooming in quickly.
