again, I don't know much about kml, but browsing the documentation, it
seem to me that your listeners should look something like this:
google.maps.event.addListener(byLayer, 'click',
function(KmlMouseEvent) {
pos=KmlMouseEvent.latLng;
var text = KmlMouseEvent.featureData.infoWindowHtml;
openWindow(text,pos);
});
which would call a function something like this:
function openWindow(text,pos) {
savedLocation = map.getCenter();
infowindow.setPosition(pos);
infowindow.setContent(text);
infowindow.open(map);
}
but I could be way off, and am wide open to correction.
