I have done a bit more research, and the problem isn't specific for my code - it even appears in the examples from the documentation.
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/marker-simple.html The title of that marker doesn't show every time i put my pointer on it. Does anyone else have this problem?
