Hi all, To help mitigate problems like these I strongly recommend you use the Places Autocomplete. It's a perfect fit for use cases like this.
Here's a quick demo: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/places-autocomplete.html By typing "orange france" I get the correct result straight away. Nevertheless, I've filed this problem with the data team.
