Just a stab in the dark: are you changing the stroke weight like this?
drawingManager.set('circleOptions', { strokeWeight: 1 });
If you are, you need to set the color again, otherwise it gets clobbered:
drawingManager.set('circleOptions', { strokeWeight: 1, strokeColor:
'red' });
