Geocoding turns an address into a location (latitude/longitude). > tried "uplb" (University here in Phils.) it also gives me a result I'm suprised. That's not an address so I wouldn't expect it to work really. There won't be many cases like that do work. To find places like businesses or institutions, try the Places API http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/places/ It does gave limitations; a search worldwide for "uplb" is unlikely to work. > Also, I've read somewhere around here that it is restricted to save > informations and stuff, like lats and longs, is it also forbidden to > save the formatted address of the place so that I can give them > completed address just by them entering the place? Google's data is Google's data. Forbidden to save for most purposes, okay to show to your users with a map. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps JavaScript API v3" group.
