We are a non-profit club, but chartered by the Appalachian National Scenic Trail (US park service) to maintain this section of the trail. This database will be used as part of a Local Management Plan, which is reviewed Forest Service, Park Service etc. With a limited number of interested users (50 maintainers), the free API seems to be all that I need.
