The page is 2Mb and takes a couple of minutes to load, Firefox gives
'slow script' prompt and picks up an error about '$.visitor is not a
function'
A request to ShowPersPromoLookup fails with 'Your browser sent a
request that this server could not understand'
But the map works in FF, which I expect you knew.

The HTML is invalid - content outside of <html> section, and inbetween
<head> and <body> - which may be enough to confuse IE of itself.

I suspect you are correct about some timing race issue - the map works
with no API error in IE7 on a slowish computer.
