Hello World, I hope this is the correct group location for this question. Sorry if not. It involves sending out visual turn by turn directions via Bluetooth from Android to an Ardiuno. The reason Ardiuno is to make it accessible to everyone. Although I am an embedded programmer mainly in C the API is pretty complicated for me to understand. So therefore I ask those smarter than me for help and guidance.
I have been embarking on a project to integrate visual instructions onto my Arduino motorcycle computer. So far searching the internet high and low have found no information on how to get turn by turn instructions out of Google maps on android to the Arduino. Also I did not find any car stereos or video screens that display turn by turn from Google maps. I can pair with my Galaxy S no problem. There does not seem to be any messages being transmitted out by Google maps. Maybe I am not seeing the correct message or I am missing the proper decode. My question to you smart people. Is there any direction information other than audio being sent through Bluetooth? If no what is the extent of development to enable such a feature? Is it worth it for one man to embark on such a quest? If you could point me in the right direction I will be grateful. Thank you in advance for your help!
