The Places API (and therefore the use of autocomplete) is limited to 1000 requests per day.
https://developers.google.com/places/policies#usage_limits My guess is that no map load would be counted if only autocomplete would be loaded. But I'm not sure if it is allowed to load autocomplete without loading the Maps API.
