Unfortunately I have no control over the proxy :)

And I agree about the X header already being the workaround. I don't
see the rationale for simply stripping it off. It's actually kind of
dangerous since the request could then be interpreted as something
completely different (e.g. if PUT was blocked then updating an album
could lead to adding a new one instead I guess?).
