Hi all, To address the issue with image URLs containing Google Account usernames (http://code.google.com/p/gdata-issues/issues/detail?id=757) we have changed the syntax of image URLs provided by the API to obfuscate this information.
What this means: The URLs provided inside of <gphoto:thumbnail>, <media:thumbnail>, <icon>, and <media:content> will change to not contain a username. If your program is written correctly and simply uses these URLs to retrieve photos or embed the links into the webpage, this change will not affect you. Similarly, if you have existing image URLs that you had previously retrieved from the API that are embedded in HTML or stored somewhere, they will continue to work. The only way this change will affect you is if your program is relying on the structure of the image URL or is trying to process the owner's username out of it.
