No concrete plans. We are aware of this "loop hole" but it will require some significant changes down to the storage level to implement a book-keeping mechanism that keeps track of all albums shared and unshared from many users with one other specific user. The activity feed you see is not quite suitable for this task. It also doesn't show when someone unshares an album from you or disables the contribution rights. It's certainly on our radar but hasn't been scheduled yet. We could use it ourselves to improve the user experience for the Picasa desktop client application.
