As a previous flickr user there are some ways in which picasa clearly lags:
1. Count does not work properly - it should count only users _other_ than oneself, and it should do so reliable. An additional feature flickr has that picasa lacks is that of "recent activity" -- data on what photos have been viewed recently. 2. 'Like' should display the user that liked the photo if they have a google username and are logged in at the time of liking -- or at the least it should give them the opportunity to reveal such data. 3. Finally, my photos simply look worse in picasa. It must be possible to slightly tweak the color balance, contrast, and other data to make the photos look better. In any case, I'm not sure how flickr does it, but the same photos look better on flickr and I think picasa should try to compete. The best thing about picasa is that it basically has sharing done correctly, although it could still use a little work. One ought to be able to 1. share a single photo (via email or url c/p) 2. share an album (likewise) 3. share all of one's photos with a given user (via email) Best, Amanda Beeson -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Picasa Web Albums API" group.
