Hey Diogo, Unfortunately I found that this was not directly possible with the API. More information can be found here:
http://code.google.com/apis/picasaweb/docs/2.0/reference.html#Parameters I suppose what you could do (and it might be super awesome) is create your own web service that can request Picasa images, crop them to the exact dimensions needed, cache them, and then serve them up to your application.
