Same problems here, using WordPress plugin PWA+PHP. I've had maybe a dozen very stable sites return unusual results today, with first thumbnails full size, the balance at correct size. Let's track this and report back here with results. Hopefully, it's being addressed. Any news of a revision to the Picasa API?
